Sitting Fees for Dance Photoshoots
The Sitting Fee is optional for dance class photos. No matter what, we will take one individual photo of every dancer and a group photo with their class. For only $5.00 per dance we will take 2 additional poses and a headshot of your dancer, giving you more options to choose from when purchasing your dance photos. A sitting fee covers the cost of the photography session but does not include printed or digital photos. This option is highly recommended, especially for our younger dancers!
Details:
- Sitting fees must be paid online before the scheduled photoshoot.
- You must include your dancer’s full name, studio, class name, and scheduled photo time. Put details in the "Add note to seller" box during check out.
- Sitting fees do NOT include any prints or digitals.
- Printed and digital images are purchased separately after the session.
- One sitting fee per dance class/costume is required for Dance Class Sessions.
- Use the same email address for your sitting fee and your photo order so we can match them up properly.

The Paid Sitting Fee Option
For $5.00 per dancer per class, the optional sitting fee adds:
- TWO additional poses
- ONE headshot
This gives you 5 images to choose from (per class) when ordering. We highly recommend the paid sitting fee option (especially for our tiny dancers).
Please pay your Sitting Fee online at least 24 hours prior to your studio's scheduled photo day or as soon as possible.
Important: Add Dancer Info at Checkout
When paying your Sitting Fee(s), you must include your dancer’s full name, studio, class name, and scheduled photo time. This helps us match your payment to the correct student and keeps the photoshoot on schedule.
At checkout, click “Add a note to the seller” (see the left side of the checkout screen). In the note box, write something like:

Without this info, we may not be able to locate your dancer, and you will miss out on the extra poses. Thanks for helping us stay organized!

FAQ
1. What is a sitting fee?
A sitting fee covers the cost of the photography session but does NOT include any digital or printed photos.
2. Do I need to pay a sitting fee for each class?
Yes. If your dancer is in more than one class and you would like multiple poses for each, a separate sitting fee is required for each class. This ensures we take extra individual photos for each costume and dance style. But it is not a requirement to pay for a sitting fee for all of your dances only the ones you would like extra poses for. At checkout choose the correct quantity of sitting fees you would like to purchase: $5.00 = one dancer/dance.
3. When is the sitting fee due?
All sitting fees must be paid before photo day. We appreciate payment at least 7 days in advance to help things run smoothly. If unpaid, only one individual pose will be taken of your dancer.
4. Do I get any photos with the sitting fee?
No, the sitting fee covers the photography session only. Parents will receive a link after photo day to view and purchase digital images and prints online.
5. How do I pay the sitting fee?
You can pay your sitting fee securely online through our website. Select the correct Sitting Fee product for your dancer’s session (either Dance Class or Luxury), add it to your cart, and complete the checkout process.
During checkout, please click “Add a note to the seller” and include your dancer’s full name, dance studio, class name, and scheduled photo time. For example, you might write:

6. What happens if don't pay the sitting fee before the photoshoot?
If unpaid, your dancer will receive only one individual pose during the session.
You can still order photos even if you didn't pay the sitting fee (you will just have fewer images to choose from). If you missed the photoshoot, contact us right away to check if any alternate dates are available.
